Yoga Basics

Mondays 10am and Wednesdays 7.45pm

A class designed for beginners and for those who want a refresher in the basics of yoga. These classes are at a slightly slower pace than the ‘mixed level’ class. You will be taught simple postures step-by-step with modifications where needed. If you are a complete beginner it is highly recommended that you attend a good few of these sessions in order to ensure all the basics are covered before you join the progressive classes.

Ashtanga Yoga Basics

Wednesdays 10am

Similar to our Yoga Basics class but with a bit more kick.

The class comprises simple postures, making it ideal for those who are beginners or regard themselves as newbies still…however, this class will offer you some challenging movement and strength based postures.

We work through the basic principles of Ashtanga Yoga, building, familiarity through repetition, full body movements, strong ujjayi breathing, and challenging core work.

Expect to get warm and work hard before your well deserved savasana….ahhhh!

This class is not suitable for those who cannot easily get up and down off the floor.

Gentle Yoga & Self-Massage

Thursdays 10am

A great class for beginners and experienced yogis alike…

come join us for some gentle yoga postures, simple breath work, self-massage and relaxation.

Expect a series of slow gentle paced standing postures and gradually working towards the floor.

Graham will skilfully guide you to a deep level of relaxation with the aid of self-massage using foam rollers and lacrosse balls.

Expect to leave feeling refreshed, nourished and standing tall again.

Yin & Tonic Yoga

Mondays 6.30pm, Tuesdays 10am and Fridays 10am BOOK HERE

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin yoga is a stillness practice. The practice of staying present in a posture for an extended period of time despite ‘discomfort’ (not pain!). That discomfort may present itself to you in physical sensations, changes to breath and mental challenges. There is no wrong experience; but rather the practice instead is to relax as much as possible and notice what you find. Observe your experience. Notice what happens when you surrender to being still.

An opportunity to wind down, make space and breathe. A beautifully relaxing class comprising deeply opening stretches, yin style (long held) and restorative postures. Leave feeling relaxed but revived.

Using The Hammock

We’ll be taking the hammock lower to the ground than our typical aerial classes. From there you will explore a series of postures whilst using the hammock as a semi-supportive prop. Focusing on spine, hips and legs expect some slow, deep and still postures. All the while moving towards restorative yoga postures to really ease the body to a more relaxed state of savasana.

Try it…you’ll love it!

Wear warm layers including cosy socks. Please refrain from wearing clothes with zips or velcro

This class is open to all including beginners. It is particularly suited to those who find standing postures challenging. There will be accessible inversions.

Core Yoga

Thursdays 7pm

We all need to work on our core strength, right? But not just to look good. That would just be superficial!

Core strength is essential to build good metabolism, burn fat and boost overall strength and vitality. Without strengthening your core (which is your stomach and back muscles) it is not possible to get the maximum out of your limbs or any other body parts that you want to work on.

Even runners require a strong core in order to support their legs for long distances and sprinters even more so. Yoga is one of the most effective ways to build core strength and add flexibility to your muscles.

Graham’s Core Yoga class will help you develop deep strength. Your core and diaphragm also needs to be flexible! Most people don’t think about the flexibility of the core. Think about how our core affects our breath, our everyday posture, how we stand up ‘straight’.

This class is ideal for varied yoga experiences. You’ll find your yoga general practise and strength will improve dramatically.

A great post-pregnancy class to help repair diastasis recti (abdominal wall separation). Usually 6-12 weeks after birth (provided there were no complications). Contact us to discuss if you are unsure.

Mixed Level Yoga

Wednesdays 6.30pm

Our Mixed Level Yoga classes are a continuation of your practice from beginner’s onwards. Some progression in postures may be suggested for those wanting to…but not essential if you’d rather not.

This class is a challenging but user-friendly, combining mindful Hatha and Ashtanga postures.

You determine your yoga practice. Therefore, you decide how hard you work in the class. We provide the platform, the instruction, guidance, encouragement and support…you bring the energy!
